News Release No. 11-066

 
The operators were identified as Fahad Gandamra, 29, married, and a resident of the said place; Mohaimen Urandig, 21, married, driver and a resident of Barangay Marinaut Kapantaran, Marawi City, and Amano Nasser, 29, married, and a resident of Barangay Naga, Marawi City.
 
The apprehension took place following a complaint from a concerned citizen for illegal operation of Video Karera machines existing in aforementioned place.
 
The operation resulted to the confiscation of Six (6) Video Karera machines from the possession of the suspects. 
 
Meanwhile during the operation, the team discovered empty small plastic  sachets, rolled aluminum foils, disposable lighters, and two (2) small transparent sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be “Metamphetamine Hydrochloride” or Shabu.
 
The arrested suspects and confiscated items were brought to Marawi City Police Station for proper disposition.
 
A case was filed against the suspects before the Office of the City Prosecutor docketed under NPSD XIV-06-INQ-11K-00091 for Violation of Presidential Decree 1602 also known as Anti-Illegal Gambling and NPSD XIV-06-INQ-11K-00090 for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 also known as an Act Instituting the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002, signed by Hon. Ating D Diacat, Prosecutor II, Marawi City dated November 21, 2011.
