TAWI-TAWI – Two (2) drug personalities in Bongao Tawi-Tawi were arrested in an Anti-Illegal Drug Operation for peddling illegal drugs.

      Report from Tawi-Tawi Police Provincial Office disclosed that at about 4:40 PM of June 6, 2021, Personnel of Bongao Municipal Police Station conducted an Anti – Illegal Drugs (Buy Bust) Operation at Barangay Pagasinan of Bongao which resulted to the arrest of suspects identified as Lawrencio Poligado Gida also known as “JOJO”, 43 years old, male, married and Farhana Hajul Gida, 38 years old, female, married, both residents of Barangay Pagasinan, and known drug pushers in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi.

    Operatives recovered from suspects possessions are: five (5) pieces of transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with estimated value of fifty-four thousand four hundred (Php 54,400.00); ninety-two (92) pieces of transparent plastic straws containing suspected shabu with estimated value of thirty-one thousand two hundred eighty pesos (Php 31, 280.00); two (2) pieces of transparent plastic straws containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu with estimated value of six hundred eighty pesos (Php 680.00) purchased items; two pieces of 100 peso bill marked money; drug money worth two thousand one hundred pesos (Php 2,100.00) in different denomination; One (1) unit Cellular phone; and other drug paraphernalia.

        After documentation, inventory, and marking of evidence on the site of operation, the arrested suspects including the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Bongao Municipal Police Station for thorough investigation and proper disposition. The arrested suspects were properly informed of their constitutional rights in a dialect understood by them.
