Sulu – Government forces arrested alleged members of Abu Sayyaf Group and Kidnap for Ransom Group during a law enforcement operation in Camp Gen. Teodolfo Bautista, Barangay Bus-Bus, Jolo, Sulu on June 11, 2021.
The report from Sulu Police Provincial Office disclosed that at about 8:00 AM of June 11, 2021, joint elements of PNP, CIDG Sulu, Regional Intelligence Unit 9, Special Action Force, AKG, and AFP in Sulu, served the warrant of arrest for the Complex Crime of murder with double attempted and frustrated murder issued by the Presiding Judge of RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 3, Jolo, Sulu against suspects ASG and Kidnap for Ransom Group Members identified as: Sansibar S. Bensio, male, married, 38 years old; Muayyar S Binda, male, married, 32 years old; Alim Ahir A. Sukarno, male, married, 26 years old; Ramli, Morhin alias Ben/Akram Yusop, male, single, 18 years old; Sanchez J Amang alias Sanchez Mohammad, male, married, 58 years old; Lugah Muhajirin Samsula, male, married, 37 years old; Bunjiar Muhajirin Samsula, male, married, 35 years old; and Ferdaus Muhajirin Omar, male, single, 19 years old.
Arrested suspects were brought to Provincial Headquarters of Sulu Police Provincial Office for proper documentation, investigation, and disposition. Suspects were properly informed of their constitutional rights in a dialect known to them.
Police Brigadier General Eden T Ugale , Regional Director, PRO BAR said that this law enforcement operation was successfully conducted through the support of the public by providing relevant information to the government authorities. He encourages the public to actively support the PNP operations against wanted persons in the Bangsamoro region.
Meanwhile, the Regional Director lauded the operating units. He further reiterates that Bangsamoro police force with the Armed Forces of the Philippines is on top of eliminating terrorism and criminalities in the island provinces of Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.
