With the strong desire of PRO BAR authorities to maintain peace and security in the region, 1402nd Regional Mobile Force Company led by PCPT IVAN JOHN B BAKIAN prevented the lawless elements from an attempt to harass Datu Saudi Compound which resulted in the arrest of one (1) suspect on March 3, 2022, at Brgy. Buayan, Datu Piang, Maguindanao.
 
Datu Piang Municipal Police Station identified the apprehended suspect as Faisal Alagasi alias “Mamalio”, 34 years old, a resident of Brgy. Buayan, Datu Piang, Maguindanao. Allegedly, the suspect is also one of the accused for harassing BPAT outpost caught on recorded CCTV footage last January 7, 2022.
 
According to the report, while the augmented personnel of 1402nd RMFC are conducting ocular inspection at Datu Saudi Compound for the construction of 1402nd RMFC new headquarters, the group of Faisal Alagasi fired upon the troops. The troops immediately retaliated wounding the suspect. The clash lasted for about five minutes leaving no wounded or casualty on the part of the troops as the enemies withdraw.
 
The arrested suspect sustained three gun shoot wounds on his lower right leg, near his navel, and graze gunshot on his head. Meanwhile, Datu Piang MPS and 6th Infantry Battalion responded to the area and immediately conducted hot pursuit operations to the fleeing suspects.
 
Recovered pieces of evidence were one (1) unit M4A1 carbine cal. 5.56mm with loaded one magazine, three (3) reserve magazines, 126 live ammos, and 22 empty shells.
 
The suspect was brought to Abpi – Samama Medical Hospital for immediate treatment and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Datu Piang MPS for documentation and proper disposition. In addition, the firearm detail was sent to Regional Civil Security Unit – BAR for verification.
 
Appropriate charges are being prepared for filing against the suspect.
