TAWI-TAWI – Operatives of Sitangkai MPS recovered suspected illegal drugs with standard drug price (SDP) of Php 195,200.00 during their police response in Punduhan Tapul, Barangay Datu Putih, Sitangkai, Tawi-Tawi on March 23, 2022.
Report from Tawi-Tawi Police Provincial Office disclosed that Sitangkai MPS received a phone call from a concerned citizen reporting about a drug activity in the residence of a.k.a. Galib Ayudini Misuwari. Immediately, the personnel of Sitangkai MPS, headed by PCPT Alberto C Bartolome responded to the said area. Sensing the arrival of the police operatives, the suspect managed to escape boarding a small motorized boat locally known as “Tiririt” towards the direction of Sabah, Malaysia leaving the suspected illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia in the area unfixed which indicated that the suspect was in a hurry.
The recovered pieces of evidence were: eight (😎 heat sealed plastic sachets containing MOL 28.3 grams white crystalline substance believed to be shabu with SDP of Php192,500.00; five (5) pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic straws containing MOL 0.4 grams white crystalline substance believed to be shabu with SDP of Php 2,700.00; cash money amounting to Php 2,150.00 in different denominations; one (1) piece brown wallet containing two (2) identification cards; and other drug paraphernalia.
Operating unit marked the recovered pieces of evidence for inventory and documentation and brought to Sitangkai MPS for proper disposition.
In addition, Sitangkai MPS is preparing a case for violating the R.A. 9165 known as Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 against the identified suspect.
PBGen Arthur R Cabalona, Regional Director, PRO BAR, commended the Sitangkai MPS for their swift police response and intensified anti-illegal drug operations for eradicating illegal drugs in the area. Moreover, PRO BAR will remain relentless in its campaign against illegal drugs and criminality to maintain peace and order in the Bangsamoro region.
