Cotabato City – The elements of Cotabato City Police Office responded to a shooting incident transpired on October 16, 2020 at around 3 o’clock in the afternoon in Rosary Heights, Cotabato City.

In the police report of Cotabato City Police Office to Police Brigadier General Samuel P Rodriguez, Regional Director of Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region disclosed that the two victims identified as Norhamin Antao Pakiladato, 26 years old,male, married, MILF member, resident of Bulalo, Sultan Kudarat and Badrodin Entam Baluno, legal age, male, single, MILF Member and resident of Matalam, North Cotabato were shot by unidentified Motorcycle Riding Suspects at the Edge Comer, Rosary Heights, Cotabato City. Upon arrival at the crime scene, the responding police officers immediately brought the victims to Cotabato Regional Medical Center for medical treatment. However, Baluno was decleared dead on arrival by the attending physician while Pakiladato did not survived while undergoing medical treatment.

Further, thorough investigation revealed that the victims were onboard a Yamaha Sniper 150 MC Color black/green with temporary plate number 1201-453531 driven by Pakiladato traversing Domazenod Street, RH 3 going to the direction of ND Avenue. Upon reaching the place of incident, the motorcycle riding suspects fired upon the victims using calibre .45 pistol. The unidentified suspects immediately fled to unknown direction.

Hot pursuit operation was conducted by Police Station 1 CPPO for the possible arrest of the suspects. The Regional Crime Laboratory Office BARMM processed the crime scene and recovered the following: six (6) pieces of fired cartridge cases believed to be calibre .45 and two (2) pieces deformed slugs believed to be from the same firearm recovered at the crime scene.

PBGEN Rodriguez urges Cotabato City Police Office to conduct thorough investigation to establish the motive and identity of the suspects. Checkpoint and foot patrol shall be strictly implemented by the police for the possible apprehension of the suspects.
